The AI receptionist for hair salons

A colour client is worth years of six-weekly rebookings. She is also the one most likely to ring while every stylist has both hands full.

The problem

Why hair salons miss the calls that matter most

Colour takes you off the floor for hours

A full head of foils is three hours where nobody can reach the phone. That is the exact window when new colour enquiries ring, because they ring during the working day.

Quotes depend on things a message cannot capture

Length, density, existing colour, how many sessions since the last lift. A voicemail saying “how much for balayage” cannot be answered without those, so the callback becomes a second phone call you also have to find time for.

Saturday cancellations are your most expensive hole

A Saturday colour slot lost at 8am is rarely refilled by lunchtime, because refilling it means ringing people while you are already booked solid.

The fix

What SalonAnswer does differently for hair

01

Quotes ranges, never a single number

Fixed services get the exact price. Colour, correction and extensions get your stated range plus a free consultation booking, because a firm phone quote on unseen hair is how salons end up doing $400 of work for $250.

02

Allows real chair time

A full head of foils is not a fringe trim. Bookings carry the correct duration and processing gaps so your column stays workable.

03

Asks the questions your stylists ask

How long is your hair, is it currently coloured, when was it last done, box dye ever. The answers arrive with the booking so nobody starts a consultation from zero.

04

Handles the stylist request properly

Regulars asking for their own stylist get her, or her next real opening, rather than being quietly assigned to whoever is free.

05

Refills gaps while you work

A cancellation releases the slot immediately and it is offered to the next caller wanting something soon.

In practice

A real call, handled

A shortened version of a call this agent handles every day.

Hi, how much would balayage be? My hair is pretty long.
Balayage with us runs from $250 to $380 depending on length and how light you want to go. For hair past the shoulders it is usually toward the upper end. Has your hair been coloured before?
Yeah, I had highlights about six months ago.
That is useful, thank you. Because there is existing colour we would want a stylist to look at it before quoting properly. I have a free consultation on Wednesday at 4pm, or Thursday at 11. Which suits?
Wednesday works.
Booked. I will text you a confirmation with what to expect and how long to allow.
FAQ

Questions we get asked

Will it quote colour prices over the phone?
It quotes your stated range and then books a consultation. It will not give a firm single price for colour, correction or extensions on unseen hair, because that is how salons end up honouring a quote that does not cover the work.
Does it know how long each service takes?
Yes. Durations come from your service menu at setup, including processing time, so a three-hour balayage never lands in a forty-minute gap.
Can clients request a specific stylist?
Yes, and it applies your rules. It can offer that stylist's next opening, or offer an alternative stylist if you allow it.
What about colour corrections?
Those get captured in full and flagged for a human. A correction is too variable to book blind and too expensive to get wrong.
